The 3rd instalment of Capital Connections features Hibiscus Fund and Iris Fund’s investee company, RPG Commerce. Melvin Chee, CEO of RPG, shared how a simple dropshipping experiment during the semester break led him to build three multimillion-dollar brands across different niches in e-commerce. After identifying a jarring gap in Australia, Melvin launched his first start-up Eubi which specialised in distributing portable universal mobile charges and accessories in Australia. In 2016, he moved on to established RPG Group, a multi-niche online retailer. The business has expanded to three stores operating with fulfilment centers in Asia, Australia and the United States.
