Fashion technology is evolving meteorically worldwide. From robots that sew and cut fabric, AI algorithms that predict style trends, the rise of mobile commerce, 3D printing, VR mirrors in dressing rooms, nanotechnology, and more, technology is bolstering the fashion space through automation and personalisation.

On 20 July 2023, Penjana Kapital co-hosted Restyling Fashion through the Touch of Tech with Sea, the parent company of Shopee, one of the leading e-commerce players in Southeast Asia region. We had a fireside chat with Dato’ Sri Rozita Ramelan, the Founder and CEO of Kabinet Privé, to discuss on Passion Investing and how this form of investing is viewd as an alternative asset allocation.

Other highlights of the event include a Pitch to Runway session where we saw 4 companies pitch their company to the guests. They are Sarahah Kedah, co-Founder of Kloth Circularity | Malaysia | Singapore, Dr Thomas, P. S. Ong, CEO of NanoTextile Sdn Bhd, Haris Kamal & Sulayman Tun-Ismail, Co-Founder & Head of Growth from Kualesa as well as CK Changr, Founder of Oxwhite. Our CEO, Taufiq Iskandar, provided the closing remark of the event.

Throughout the event, the participants managed to showcased their products and share how they are providing solutions, in terms of functionality and fashion recycling, to the fashion industry. Other than the above mentioned, we saw CNCRD and Biorism showcasing their products too.
